Garden of Growth… for the past few years I have been fixated on perfection. Every detail of every painting had to be refined to perfection before I could consider it done. And while I’m incredibly proud of those pieces, it came at a cost. Striving for perfection leads to perpetual self disappointment… not to mention that people are increasingly losing the ability to tell real art from AI art. I want to explore ways to make my art distinguishably human made while still holding true to my level of desired detail and *perfectly imperfect* standards. I depicted a woman crying in this painting because this past year I have been processing a lot challenging emotions and mental health issues… but through it all, I am growing, I am healing, and I’m grateful for all that I have and all that is on the horizon.
